At Conifers the children develop their knowledge as well as a wide variety of skills through the teaching of many sporting activities. Sport is a prominent feature on the timetable with a specialist teacher who provides an in-depth education following the National Curriculum.  All children get a minimum of 21/2 hours of timetabled sport a week with additional clubs as extras.

The children are able to make use of the large playing field and take part in lessons in football, rugby and hockey, whilst the Nursery children focus on developing their ball skills.  Children also have a whole term swimming and the opportunity to represent the school in a range of sports including netball and football.

The Spring term is focused on gymnastics and dance in the newly refurbished mirrored school hall.  This builds up to a Spring display of movement and music.  The children also use the Spring term to focus on their Outdoor Adventure Activities, learning all about team building and motivation techniques which are fun and engaging for the children.

During the Summer term the children all participate in a wide range of sporting activities including athletics, rounders and cricket, culminating in our annual Conifers Sports Day.
