TRIPS AND VISITS

Our school trips complement depth and diversity of our pupils’ learning.

Conifers thrives on providing an enriching trips and visits programme, which complements the depth and diversity of our pupils learning.

We have the privilege of being able to enjoy an extensive range of trips locally. Recent outings have been to Haslemere Educational museum, Butser Ancient Farm and the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, all of which offer countless teaching opportunities. To inspire our English and Dramatic Arts curriculum our pupils embrace the exciting opportunity to visit Chichester Festival Theatre and watch their superb performances on stage. As a school which encompasses the local community, we regularly go on outings to study our surrounding areas.

Our thrilling residential programme encourages independence, organisational skills and enhances the pupils’ confidence. This exciting opportunity to stay away from home with friends is the perfect occasion for pupils to try new things and reach for the stars. On these trips there is an outstanding variety of activities for all pupils to enjoy and feel a sense of achievement. Our younger children visit Calshot Activity Centre for sailing, skiing, and team-building challenges, whilst our older children embark on trips further afield. A recent senior residential was our infamous tour of the UK, where they hopped around the youth hostels visiting Bletchley Park, Ironbridge, Cadbury World, with more indoor skiing and bowling thrown in for good measure.  We have also visited Northern France, to shop in the markets, eat waffles with Chantilly cream, visit Compiegne to see the Wagon d’Armistice and experience a day at Parc Asterix.

All of our trips and visits have purpose and enhance the learning of the children.
