Pupils at Conifers are encouraged to take on roles of responsibility from a young age. This begins in the Early Years where children take turns to be the helper of the day.
As the children move up through the school they will each take a turn in being the form captain and each class will vote to elect their School Council member.
In the Upper Prep children are given the prestigious roles as house captains or subject captains. Each role has it’s own specific responsibilities and the pupils holding these positions are expected to be exemplary role models for the younger pupils.
Each year at Prize-giving we appoint a Head Boy and Head Girl and it is the duty of outgoing captains to hand their badges over to the new recipients – this announcement is always eagerly awaited and leads to much excitement on the final day of the academic year.
